Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards will appear on the Nintendo Switch through the Nintendo Switch Online service. It will be available through the subscription service starting on May 20, 2022. Users will need to have an active subscription to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack in order to access the game. It is one of several Nintendo 64 games available through the service.
Alongside the announcement of this Kirby title appearing on the Switch, Nintendo has released a trailer. It features a look at the game, which includes a demonstration of Kirby’s various abilities in the title. It also provides a look at the 3D side-scrolling elements of the title.

Other games that have appeared through the subscription service include The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask. While not one of the games available when the service initially launched, it was added in February 2022. Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kong Country 3 are also available through the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service. Outside of its expanding N64 library, the service also grants access to certain Sega Genesis games.
Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards originally appeared on the Nintendo 64, but will be available to play on the Nintendo Switch through Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack starting May 20, 2022.
