FFXIV patch 6.1 will release on April 12, 2022. Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida revealed the launch date during the Letter from the Producer Live LXX on April 1, 2022. Patch 6.1 will come with a plethora of new content, which includes new main scenario quests and a raid.
Additionally, a trailer for patch 6.1 was shown during the presentation. It featured several major characters that will appear, and provided a glimpse into the Myths of the Realm raid.
Leading up to the FFXIV patch 6.1 release date, Yoshida spoke to 4Gamer about the Myths of the Realm raid. This will be an entirely new story set. It will explore the mythology and power of the Twelve deities of Eorzea. Unlike the Return to Ivalice and YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse raid series, it will not be connected to any IPs outside of Final Fantasy XIV.
Other notable additions that will appear alongside patch 6.1 include the Dragonsong’s Reprise Ultimate raid and the Crystalline Conflict PvP mode. Square Enix shared a roadmap leading up to Patch 6.5, which reveals what content will appear in each subsequent update.
Final Fantasy XIV is available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. The FFXIV patch 6.1 release date is April 12, 2022.
