Square Enix is celebrating the 5th anniversary of NieR Automata in 2022. The video game originally came out in 2017. In the anniversary stream held on February 23, 2022, the company announced an anime adaptation of the game. Its characters also appeared as collaboration guests in Square Enix’s other games, such as Babylon’s Fall and Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent. It will also release more items related to the title, such as manga and art books for the West in 2022.

Onkyo has also been releasing earphone models with brands from many other anime and game franchises. Before NieR Automata, the company had revealed CP-TWS01A models designed after Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Magia Record, Sword Art Online, and BanG Dream.

The original NieR Automata video game is available on the PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and PC.
