Bandai Namco’s Gundam Evolution game won’t be limited to Japan. The company announced the free-to-play, 6v6 FPS will appear worldwide. It will also show up on more platforms than expected. When announced, only a PC version was confirmed. Now, there will be PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC versions of Gundam Evolution and more Closed Network Tests.
The next Closed Network Test will be for the PC version of Gundam Evolution. People can register for it until March 28, 2022 via Steam. They can go to the Playtest and request access until March 28, 2022 to be considered. Those picked to participate will get to test it out April 7-12, 2022.
While there is a launch window for the PC test, there isn’t one for a console one. However, the company did confirm it will hold a similar test on consoles as well.
Here’s a look at the new trailer.
Bandai Namco already held one Gundam Evolution beta in Japan. That took place back in August 2021. Its survey results from that test went over people’s favorite units, thoughts on the game so far, and areas that players thought needed improvement. People expressed concerns about its maps and lack of abandonment penalty at the time.
Gundam Evolution will come to the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC worldwide in 2022. The next PC Closed Network Test will be held April 7-12, 2022. While the game will be free-to-play, there will be optional paid season passes that let people earn cosmetic items.
