Nintendo’s Japanese website already teased that Splatoon 3 would be a 2022, but now we know more about a mode in it. The 2022 Nintendo Direct brought up the game again. Salmon Run Next Wave will be in Splatoon 3.
Salmon Run is the co-op multiplayer mode in Splatoon 3. Your goal each run is to collect the golden Salmonid Eggs. New bosses like the Fish Stick appeared in the footage. It also noted there will be an Egg Throw move, which you can use to toss Salmonid Eggs to allies.

Nintendo first announced Splatoon 3 back in February 2021. At the time, it shared a brief video looking at the character creator. It also confirmed that there would be a Salmonid “little buddy” accompanying players. (People can customize their Salmonid and avatar.) Since then, staggered details also went over the single-player mode, some weapons, and some new music.
The Splatoon 3 will be out in Summer 2022. It will appear on the Nintendo Switch, just like Splatoon 2.
