Square Enix announced details concerning the Kingdom Hearts 20th anniversary event. The event will feature a mini concert, a question and answers segment with the development team, an exhibition, and “much more.” The Kingdom Hearts 20th anniversary event will take place on April 10, 2022 in Tokyo, Japan. A video of the event will be made available to view at a later date. However, Square Enix has not revealed when the video will be available. Additionally, a special webpage has been opened for the event.

The website reveals that the event could be postponed, or outright cancelled, depending on the situation surrounding COVID-19. Additionally, some of the scheduled events may change. That said, Square Enix will take preventative measures with its staff.
Square Enix also revealed the Kingdom Hearts Nintendo Switch ports will release on February 10, 2022. However, the games will only be available as cloud versions. This information was initially revealed during the final Super Smash Bros Ultimate broadcast, which included a full list of the games that will make their way over to the Nintendo Switch. This includes Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts x Back Cover cinematics, Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts 2, and Kingdom Hearts 3.
