Genshin Impact Shenhe Story Teaser Features Opera Performance by Yun Jin

miHoYo released a new Genshin Impact story teaser, which focuses on the origin of Shenhe and includes an opera performance from Yun Jin. The teaser explains Shenhe’s origins in full, detailing her life as an exorcist. It also briefly touches upon the incident that transformed Shenhe into the character she appears as in Genshin Impact. The story is told through traditional Chinese opera, as sung by Yun Jin. The video is accompanied by a performance and visuals that illustrate the origin story of the exorcist.

The teaser also briefly goes into the present. It elaborates on Shenhe being scorned upon her return and touches briefly upon her newfound relationship with the protagonist. Both Shenhe and Yun Jin are available to obtain in Genshin Impact through limited time summon banners. Both characters are polearm users. However, their respective elements are different.

It was revealed during the Genshin Impact Special Program broadcast that the Interlude Archon Quest will feature Shenhe. Ninguang will also play an important role in the quest.

Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, PC, and mobile devices. It is in development for Nintendo Switch.
