Square Enix offered details about what people can expect from the 2022 FFXIV Heavensturn New Year’s event. Things will kick off after actual New Year’s Day. People can start taking part on January 5, 2022. However, people will see the game getting festive on December 31, 2021.
The announcement included details about what to expect this year. People can find Tora Bugyo at the Limsa Lominsa Upper Decks. (The character will be at X:11.5, Y:13.9.) By talking to Tora and taking part in the event, you can get tiger-themed items. This is due to 2022 being the year of the tiger. The Gold-lacquered Tiger Helmet and Silver-lacquered Tiger Helmet are pieces of armor players can wear. They can also get a The White Tiger screen to place in their homes.
As a note, Square Enix also explained why Heavensturn 2022 is starting a bit later in FFXIV. The Endwalker expansion being delayed from November 23, 2021 to December 7, 2021 caused it. Since this means patch 6.05 ended up delayed, it pushed back the event.
For people who might want to get past items, there are two ways. A Seasonal Shop will offer some of them. The FFXIV Online Store also has past Heavensturn items on sale.
Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PS4, PS5, and PC. So is its new Endwalker expansion. The FFXIV Heavensturn event will run January 5-19, 2022.
