Final Fantasy VII Remake Promotional Video Stars Red XIII

To coincide with the PC release of Final Fantasy VII Remake, Square Enix has uploaded a special promotional video starring Red XIII. The special video copies the format of a news broadcast, which details information about Red XIII. The broadcast reveals that Red XIII has escaped, and that Shinra is working to recapture the creature. Additionally, the Final Fantasy VII Remake Red XIII promotional video is part of an on-going campaign. Square Enix will release similar videos in the future. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

A special website is open for the series of promotional videos. Additionally, Square Enix clarified through its official Japanese Final Fantasy VII Remake account, that this is not meant to tease any DLC, or potential future content. You can watch the first promotional video below.

In March 2020, Square Enix revealed that Red XIII would not appear in the remake as a playable character. Instead, the party member would simply appear as a guest. The reason for this was that Red XIII appeared fairly late within the game. Co-director Naoki Hamaguchi revealed that this was the primary decision to not make Red XIII a playable character.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is available for PlayStation 4. Final Fantasy VII Intergrade is immediately available for PlayStation 5 and PC through the Epic Games Store.
