Forspoken Gameplay Showcased in New Trailer

People get another chance to see more Forspoken gameplay in a new trailer. Square Enix released a video via IGN looking at the game. This one offers an opportunity to see both peaceful and hostile areas in Athia.

Things begin with Frey Holland running through a town. Once she exits its gates, we get to see how she can jump and glide through the world. There’s even an opportunity to see the world map and skill tree. For example, we can see her learn the magic spell Burst Shot lv. 3. This is an AOE skill that involves using rocks to deal damage. It also shows her gear can consist of a cloak and necklace. The designs on her nails also can influence her abilities. In the latest clip, her Blue Flash nails let her charge magic faster.

For people who want to know a bit more about the story, there’s always the trailer from TGA 2021. That focused more in Frey’s interactions with people in Athia. It also introduced Pollyanna McIntosh as Tanta Prav. She’s a major character who will appear in the game. She’ll also apparently feature prominently in an In Tanta We Trust prequel add-on released after launch.

Forspoken will appear on the PlayStation 5 and PC worldwide on May 24, 2022. In Winter 2022, the In Tanta We Trust prequel DLC will appear.
