The third key visual for the upcoming Black Rock Shooter: Dawn Fall anime series has been posted to the project’s official Twitter page. This image shows a newly-imagined Strength. In the series, Strength is the “other self” of the character Yuu Koutari. A new key visual has released each month since October. This image reveal is the final one ahead of the series debut in spring 2022.
The previous key visuals showed the protagonist and Dead Master. Makoto Fukami (Psycho-Pass, Blade of the Immortal) and Ryo Yoshigami are writing the series, and original character designs provided by the illustrator huke. Tensho (Azur Lane, Grisaia) is directing Black Rock Shooter: Dawn Fall, with Bibury Animation Studios and Bibury Animation CG collaborating on the television project. The voice talent for the series remains unannounced. However, in the 2012 anime series, Kana Hanazawa voiced the protagonist. Miyuki Sawashiro and Kana Asumi voiced Dead Master and Strength, respectively.
In October, Disney+ announced a number of anime series headed to the streaming platform. The list included Black Rock Shooter: Dawn Fall, Tatami Time Machine Blues, Summer Time Rendering, and the upcoming adaptation of Twisted Wonderland.
Black Rock Shooter: Dawn Fall will premiere in Spring 2022 exclusively on Disney+.
