There’s news about Digimon Survive, and this time the update comes from the ESRB. An ESRB rating of “Teen” came through for the game. In addition to a brief summary of its purpose and reason for the rating, its platforms were mentioned. It was noted as being available for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. [Thanks, Gematsu!]
The ESRB said Digimon Survive got its “Teen” rating due to things like appearances of blood, crude humor, strong language, and violence. It also referenced certain Digimon attacks as a reason, specifically mentioning “Poop Toss.” (That’s an attack characters like Geremon and Sukamon are known for using.)
Digimon Survive ratings from other boards came in before this one. In August 2021, it was rated in Australia. A month later in September 2021, the Brazilian rating came up.
The fact that Digimon Survive did get an ESRB rating could suggest its release date is approaching. This comes after multiple delays. In October 2020, it ended up pushed out of the 2020 release window. In October 2021, it got pushed into 2022.
Digimon Survive will appear on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2022. There’s no exact release date for it yet.
