Square Enix announced the Final Fantasy XIV Eorzea Private Academy spin-off manga will release through the Manga UP! app on December 24, 2021. Updates for Final Fantasy XIV Eorzea Private Academy will release bi-weekly on Friday. AMAICHI Esora will both write and illustrate the manga, with the Final Fantasy XIV team acting as supervisors. It is unclear if the manga will be available in English as well. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]
The first concept of the spin-off manga appeared as an April Fool’s joke in 2019. An image of potential panels was teased on Twitter in March 2019, with nothing about the potential of the spin-off reappearing until a Letter From the Producer Live broadcast. The manga will primarily focus on Alphinaud and Alisaie Leveilleur. However, characters like Y’shtola and Estinien will appear in the spin-off manga. Square Enix describes the manga as a light-hearted comedy that will see fan favorite characters appear as students or teachers at the Eorzea Private Academy.
The Final Fantasy XIV Eorzea Private Academy spin-off manga will release on December 24, 2021 through the Manga UP! application, which is available on Android and iOS. Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PS4, PS5, and PC. Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker will release on December 7, 2021. Early access will begin on December 3, 2021.
