Here’s How the Genshin Impact Shadow of the Ancients Event Works

A new Genshin Impact Shadow of the Ancients event is about to begin. As usual, this series of activities present an opportunity to fight for rewards. Starting on November 5, 2021, people can take part in investigative surveys, then charge and protect equipment for rewards. As long as someone is over Adventure Rank 30 and completed the Chapter 2, Act 1 Archon Quest A Flower Blooms in Prison, they can participate.

Here’s how it works. First, you’ll take on Journey to Tsurumi the moment things begin. That will give you three Ayesha’s Chaos Prospector gadgets. This gadget is used at designated Survey Sites. When you do this in the first phase of the event, you’ll get to search areas with the placed items. This part doesn’t involve any battling. You’re just searching for General Purpose Directional Conduction Component items.

The other Genshin Impact Shadow of the Ancients phases do involve an Electro character and fighting. The second phase involves charging Pursina’s Spikes items at a Sampling Point. This is done with Electro Elemental Skills from people like the Traveler or Lisa. However, while this is happening, enemies will attempt to attack. So you have to charge and fight. The Live Testing portion also involves charging multiple Pursina’s Spikes. However, the opponent during that part is an Anomalous Model Ruin Grader. It will be more powerful than typical models and could attack you or the Pursina’s Spikes.

As for the rewards, four were noted. MiHoYo didn’t mention exact amounts. However, it will offer people Mora, Mystic Enhancement Ores for weapons, Primogems, and Talent Level-Up Materials for characters.

Genshin Impact is available for the PS4, PS5, PC, and Android and Apple iOS devices. It will also come to the Nintendo Switch. The Genshin Impact Shadow of the Ancients event will run November 5-15, 2021. The final quest for it, Autonomous Mechanical Energy Source: Conclusion, will be available November 15-18, 2021.
