The RX-78-2 Gundam is the titular robot of the original 1979 Mobile Suit Gundam anime series. Built in secret on Side 7, it is the Gundam that turned the die of war in favor of the Earth Federation during the war against the Principality of Zeon. Amuro Ray served as the suit’s primary pilot.

A number of unique Gundam-themed goods have been released in recent months, including Char Aznable cocoa cigarettes, Principality of Zeon emergency rations, and Gundam feet slippers. 2021 marks the 35th anniversary of Gundam video games: the first was Mobile Suit Z Gundam: Hot Scramble for the Famicom in 1986. A website listing every Gundam game to date was recently launched by Bandai Namco.

The RX-78-2 Gundam boots “stockings” are on sale now on Rakuten and can be shipped overseas using Rakuten Global Express.
