The reveal included some details about the first Pokemon TCG VSTAR cards. Four will be available in this expansion at launch. People could get Arceus, Charizard, Shaymin, and Whimsicott ones. Later in 2022, Glaceon and Leafeon VSTAR cards will be present in two Special Collection boxes

To use them in a match, you must already have the applicable Pokemon V card in play. So in order to use Arceus VSTAR, you have to have played Arceus V. Like Pokemon-GX cards, these have VSTAR Power abilities. You can only one VSTAR move per match, just like a GX attack. Also like that card, knocking one out awards two Prize Cards instead of one.

Here are the Arceus VSTAR and Charizard VSTAR cards.

And these are the two Pokemon TCG Glaceon and Leafeon VSTAR Special Collections.

At launch, Pokemon TCG Sword & Shield Brilliant Stars Elite Trainer Boxes and booster packs will be available. The initial lineup will include those four VSTARS and a number of other cards. Three new VMAX will appear. There will be 20 Pokemon V cards. Also, 15 full-art V cards will show up. 22 Trainer Cards are planned too, with some full-art cards.

Pokemon TCG Sword & Shield Brilliant Stars will launch on February 25, 2022. The most recent current expansion is Celebrations.
