Doraemon is one of the most popular Japanese manga and anime series. Fujiko F. Fujio started publishing the manga in Shogakukan’s magazines in 1969. The first anime adaptation for the title appeared in 1973. The franchise has become particularly popular in entire Asia.

Many Japanese game publishers also released Doraemon-themed video games on consoles. However, most of them are not localized outside Japan. One of the biggest exceptions, Doraemon: Story of Seasons, is available worldwide on Nintendo Switch, PC, and PlayStation 4. While FuRyu has also revealed a new Switch party game based on Nobita’s Little Star Wars 2021 movie, the company has still yet to confirm its release date.

Cygames also included a silhouette of a certain character that will appear in the Granblue Fantasy Doraemon crossover event. The silhouette looks very similar to the series’ eponymous protagonist. The company will unveil the silhouette while revealing more details about the event at a later date.

Cygames previously held a Gintama crossover event in Granblue Fantasy on October 15-28, 2021. The event featured an exclusive storyline and gacha that let players recruit characters from the anime show, such as Gintoki, Shinpachi, and Kagura.

Granblue Fantasy is immediately available on Android and iOS mobile devices. The Doraemon collaboration event will appear in the mobile game in early December 2021.
