Spy x Family Anime Will Appear in 2022

Clover Works and Wit Studio announced an anime adaptation of Spy x Family, which will start airing in 2022. Spy x Family is an action-comedy series by Tatsuya Endo and is serialized in Shonen Jump+. So far, we know the voice actor for Loid, as well as some of the key staff on the project. [Thanks, ryokutya2089!]

Takuya Eguchi will voice Loid Forger. Eguchi played Nagi Rokuya in IDOLiSH7 and Takeo Goda in My Love Story!!. Kazuhiro Furuhashi (Neo Yokio, Hunter x Hunter 1999) will direct while Kazuaki Shimada (Yama no Susume, Yuruyuri) will design the characters. Lastly, (K)now name will produce the music.

Wit Studio is also involved in creating an anime that draws inspiration from Grimms’ Fairy Tales. It is working on it with CLAMP and Netflix. Recent projects that Cloverworks worked on include the Voyager music video for Idolmaster and the various anime series for Fate/Grand Order.

Spy x Family is a series about a spy who has to create a fake family for a mission. However, unbeknownst to him, his fake daughter is a mind reader and his fake wife is an assassin. While the chapters are available on the Shonen Jump+ application and website for free, there are also tankobon books to purchase. In North America, Viz Media licensed the series.

The Spy x Family anime will start airing in 2022. More information on the cast will appear in the future.
