Capcom announced that a Monster Hunter World: Iceborne VR attraction will appear at Universal Studios Japan. Starting on January 21, 2022, attendees will be able to immerse themselves in the world of Monster Hunter through this VR attraction. This includes participating in hunts with up to four friends. The Monster Hunter World: Iceborne XR Walk VR attraction at Universal Studios Japan will feature a story set in Seliana. Players will traverse the virtual environment to take on the fearsome Velkhana. The Velkhana was the flagship monster of the Monster Hunter World: Iceborne expansion. The VR attractions with have a total of five selectable weapons. This includes the Long Sword, Great Sword, Hammer, Switch Axe, and Heavy Bowgun. This isn’t the first time Capcom IPs have appeared at Universal Studios Japan. Previously, the park featured Monster Hunter and Resident Evil attractions. This included a recreation of Raccoon City, which featured a fully immersive experience into the world of Resident Evil.
Additionally, Universal Studios Japan has plans to feature Pokemon related attractions. The Pokemon Company and Universal Studios will collaborate to bring these attractions to the park sometime in 2022.
