SMT V Black Frost Jatayu

Black Frost and Jatayu Will Make Appearances in SMT V

Today’s Shin Megami Tensei V daily demon digests focus on two familiar faces, albeit one is perhaps more familiar than the other. Atlus confirmed that Black Frost and Jatayu, two recurring demons from the SMT and Persona franchises, will appear in SMT V. While Black Frost is a demon original to Atlus, Jatayu is a mythological demi-god from the Hindu epic, Ramayana.

Black Frost in SMT V is part of the Night race. As one might expect, he mostly specializes in Ice-based moves. In the video, he asks the Nahobino for help against Dionysus, as Dionysus is in charge of the alcohol trade. Black Frost has ambitions for becoming the king, but Dionysus stands in the way.

Jatayu will appear as part of the Avian race in SMT V. The video starts with Jatayu chasing the Nahobino, though the Nahobino manages to stay out of its clutches. Similar to previous appearances in the franchise, Jatayu’s skills focus on critical hits and buffing evasion.

In total, Atlus will post 214 videos introducing the demons that will appear in SMT V. Jatayu marks 145th. Here are the previous entries in the series:
