The Mugen Train Arc show will have seven episodes and is an adaptation of the intensely popular Mugen Train movie. It will have an original episode, 70 new scenes, new music tracks, new theme songs, and new episode previews. The Mugen Train Arc will connect the end of the Tanjiro Kamada, Unwavering Resolve Arc with the Entertainment District Arc. The original episode will focus on a mission that Kyojuro Rengoku took prior to him boarding the Mugen Train. LiSA will sing both the opening and the ending.
Entertainment District Arc will start on December 5, 2021 with an hour-long episode. After the events of Mugen Train, Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu go on a mission to Yoshiwara with Tengen, the Sound Hashira. The group are on the search for Tengen’s missing wives after they disappeared during their investigation of the area. This arc also introduces Daki, one of the Twelve Kizuki. Miyuki Sawashiro will voice Daki in the animated adaptation. Aimer will perform the theme songs for this arc.
Demon Slayer season 2 will return on Crunchyroll and Funimation on October 10, 2021 with the Mugen Train Arc. It will then continue onto the Entertainment District Arc from December 5, 2021. Demon Slayer is currently available for streaming from the two aforementioned services.
