SMT V Kelpie Siegfried

Kelpie and Siegfried are Featured in SMT V Daily Demon Digests

Whereas yesterday’s daily demon digest videos gave us a look at Asia, today’s SMT V demon teasers take the players to Europe with Kelpie and Siegfried. While Kelpies are water spirits from Scottish folklore, Siegfried is a hero from the German epic Das Nibelungenlied. Those familiar with opera may also recognize him from the slightly more famous (by modern standards) music drama The Ring of Nibelung by Wagner.

Siegfried will appear as a member of the Wargod race. Like previous incarnations of Siegfried in the Shin Megami Tensei series, Siegfried in SMT V will specialize in physical skills. For example, he shows off a Brave Blade +6, which can become even more powerful if he uses Donam of Strength beforehand. He can also work as a tank, attracting enemy hits and protecting squishier demons in the party.

Kelpie is a Fairy in SMT V and she has a similar kit to its other appearances in the series. She has a wide range of abilities, between Critical Wave and Fogner. All in all, Kelpie seems to work as a jack-of-all-trades type that can fulfill any role in the party, but not excel in any aspect. At the end of the video, she asks the Nahobino to let her go and when he refuses, she cheerily agrees that no one would let a cute girl such as herself go.
