There’s movement when it comes to the One Piece Netflix live-action show. Both the show’s official Twitter account and Netflix Geeked account shared a picture of the first episode’s script.
The cover page of the script offers some additional details. The first episode of the One Piece Netflix live-action show will be “Romance Dawn.” Matt Owens and Steven Maeda are listed as the authors for the script. The page also reminds people that it is “based on One Piece by Eiichiro Oda.” So there could be changes to the story as necessary.

There haven’t been too many announcements made about this new One Piece adaptation. A live-action series announcement first came up back in 2017. Back in January 2020, Eiichiro Oda talked a bit more about it and confirmed there would be 10 episodes in Netflix’s first season. In the meantime, the original anime series appeared on Netflix back in June 2020.
The One Piece Netflix live-action series is in development. There is no air date for the first season of the show yet. Viz Media is handling the localization of the manga.
