The character designs for the Choose Your Legends Round 5 vote winners were revealed in a new Fire Emblem Heroes update video. The Feh Channel presentation showed off this year’s “Brave Heroes,” which include winners Gatekeeper and Marianne (both from Fire Emblem: Three Houses) and runners-up Marth (Shadow Dragon) and Eirika (The Sacred Stones).
Gatekeeper, the runaway winner of this year’s vote, is a green tome infantry unit. His special skill, Gatekeeper: Nothing to Report wields the Charging Horn, a non-inheritable tome that relies on nearby allies for help. He also has a unique skill, Detailed Report, that stops enemies from passing nearby.
Marianne also received a special skill as the winner of the Women’s Division. Her Requiem Dance special skill grants a nearby hero another action. She’ll appear as an infantry unit, wielding a colorless tome. Her normal version, a blue infantry tome, made its Fire Emblem Heroes debut in March.
Marth, the second-place finisher in Choose Your Legends 5, was the protagonist of the first game and is largely considered the franchise’s standard-bearer. He became a fan favorite through his appearances in the Super Smash Bros. series. His Brave Heroes version will mark the sixth Marth appearance in Fire Emblem Heroes. He’s sporting a unique special ability, Shining Emblem.
Eirika, after nearly missing the honor in previous years, joins the group as an cavalry lance. Eirika: Pledged Restorer’s Moonlight Bangle skill allows her to move after attacking, while also providing other helpful effects.
All four heroes will join the game on August 17, 2021. Players can choose one of the units for free. Other updates in the presentation included an increase in the dragonflowers players can use on each unit.

Fire Emblem Heroes is available for Android and Apple iOS devices. The Fire Emblem Heroes Brave Heroes banner with Gatekeeper, Marianne, Marth and Eirika will be available August 17, 2021 through September 6, 2021. The four heroes will continue to be available as non-focus units after that date.
