The government of Fukuoka has revealed five new Pokemon manhole covers created in partnership with The Pokemon Company as part of its Local Acts initiative. The new manhole covers feature popular pokemon such as Gardevoir, Aggron, and Dugtrio. [Thanks, Gamer!]
The five new manhole covers will appear in various popular tourist locations around Kitakyushu City, located in Fukuoka prefecture. Some of the manhole covers will feature multiple Pokemon. The full selection includes Tropius, Gardevoir, Lunatone, Sableye, Duraludon, Dugtrio, Carkol, and Aggron.
The Dugtrio manhole cover is making its debut first on August 7, 2021. The other four manhole covers are set to appear on August 13. The Dugtrio that appears on the cover is actually the Alolan variant. Aggron’s manhole cover will be placed in the Kokura Castle, based on the historical monument’s stone wall structures. Additionally, the manhole covers will also be added into Pokemon GO as a PokeStop.

The Fukuoka prefecture Pokemon manhole covers will appear between August 7, 2021 and August 13, 2021.
