People might not be playing NieR Reincarnation on July 28, 2021 as expected, as the global version of the game could be delayed. The official Twitter account noted that it might not appear as expected. It also promised that there would be an update regarding its state before July 27, 2021 ends.
The announcement did offer a brief explanation for the possible postponement. It noted that NieR Reincarnation could be delayed as a result of “the outcome of the app’s review.” It didn’t note any specifics about the state that might affect that.
Here’s the full statement.
The release of NieR Re[in]carnation, originally scheduled for July 28 PST, may be delayed depending on the outcome of the app’s review.
Further notification about the release date will be posted sometime within July 27 PST.
We apologize for any confusion this may cause.

NieR Reincarnation previously offered a brief closed beta at the end of May 2021. It later announced how the game would be adjusted as a result of feedback from it. Namely, that there would be an option to go with Japanese voice acting instead of English voiceovers. It also confirmed there would be a launch NieR Automata event that would include 2P as a playable character.
The NieR Reincarnation worldwide launch is tentatively set for July 28, 2021 on Android and Apple iOS devices, but it could be delayed. It is available in Japan.
