Numerous Projects Lined Up To Celebrate One Piece Volume 100

Volume 100 of Eiichiro Oda’s classic shonen manga One Piece will release on September 3, 2021, and in commemoration, numerous projects are underway.  You can follow along using the hashtag #WeAreONE on Twitter. The hashtag comes from the project’s name, One Piece 100 We Are ONE. Earlier this year, One Piece hit a different milestone with the release of its 1000th chapter. [Thanks, Comic Natalie!]

The first part of the campaign, Kibo Discover Project, is a collaboration between Shueisha and JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency). The Straw Hat Pirates will travel to the International Space Station and meet with Captain Akihiko Hoshide. On August 2, 2021, fans can track Kibo’s location using their smartphones.

The second project will be comprised of a series of short films, though the director and animators involved are currently unnamed. The third project will allow people to read One Piece volumes for free on Zebrack. You can read volumes 1 to 32 for free until August 1, 2021. Volumes 33 to 61 will be available from August 2 to 15, 2021 with volumes 62 to 90 available from August 16 to September 2,2021.

The fourth project is a knowledge king quiz in which the winner can ask Oda to draw any character they like. The fifth is a collaboration between Where’s Wally? (Where’s Waldo? in North America) and One Piece. You can Tweet characters you find under the hashtag #WallyinOnePiece and enter your name into a prize rally. Lastly, the sixth part of the One Piece Volume 100 We Are ONE campaign is a voice comic of Monsters. It is a one-shot that Oda wrote before One Piece. They will reveal the voice cast in the future.

Volume 100 of One Piece will release on September 3, 2021, and the We Are ONE commemoration project is already underway.
