This new Mobile Suit Gundam title will pit teams of six against one another. More than a handful of Mobile Suits will be available to choose from, and each Mobile Suit will have their own unique abilities. Additionally, Gundam Evolution will feature a “boost system,” similar to other player versus player focused titles. You can watch the announcement trailer below.

Additionally, there are plans to release the title to multiple regions. However, as it stands, the game has only been announced for Japan. There is currently no word as to what other regions the game will be available in.

The mentioned closed beta will be available in August. Applications are currently open and will remain open until August 2, 2021. Bandai will select a total of 5,000 players from the pool of applicants. While Gundam Evolution has plans to release in multiple regions, the closed beta test is currently exclusive to Japan. The closed beta test will take place during the following period:

  • August 8: 6pm JST – 12am JST
  • August 9: 6pm JST – 12 am JST

Other new Mobile Suit Gundam related projects that have recently been announced includes an entirely new series from the writer of Iron-Blooded Orphans Steel Moon. Outside of the writer and title, there is little information regarding this series.

Gundam Evolution is scheduled to release on PC sometime in 2022.
