There’s now a pre-load release date for the Abandoned trailers app designed to accompany the upcoming Blue Box PS5 game. The developer announced on Twitter that it will appear on July 29, 2021. People will be able to then download it ahead of videos appearing.
There’s a timeline for some of the Abandoned Trailers App additions as well. While the app can be pre-loaded before July ends, the first video won’t show up until August 10, 2021. That will be an “introduction.” Then, a “first trailer” will appear in August 2021.
One of the only official announcement and video for the PS5 game so far came from the PlayStation Blog. It will be a first-person following a man named Jason Longfield. He’s abandoned in a forest, and your goal will be to help him survive. It will use 3D audio and haptic feedback. At one point, Blue Box Game Studio shared a tweet saying the game’s true name would have “First letter S, Last letter L,” but it since deleted it. There were also rumors online where some people thought it might be a secret Hideo Kojima project.
Abandoned will come to the PS5 in Q4 2021, and its Trailers App pre-load will begin on July 29, 2021.
