An Animal Crossing: New Horizons event will be held at Hakkeijima Sea Paradise aquarium amusement park in Yokohama, Japan. This event will include a plethora of activities based around the discovery of sea life and other underwater animals. Additionally, a stamp rally will be held for attendees to win special merchandise and rewards. The Animal Crossing: New Horizons and Hakkeijima Sea Paradise aquarium collaboration event will begin on July 12 and last until August 31, 2021. [Thanks, Famitsu!]
Nintendo has opened up an official website page for the Animal Crossing: New Horizons collaboration event. It details all of the available activities for attendees, which includes a fishing tournament. However, those interested will need to make reservations ahead of time in order to participate. Other activities include looking for sea scallops at the aquarium’s lagoon.
Additionally, special Animal Crossing: New Horizons merchandise will be available to purchase during this period as part of the collaboration with the Hakkeijima Sea Paradise aquarium. This includes a special clear file, cookies, and a tote bag. Acrylic keychains and mugs will also be available to pre-order.
The clear file will cost 330 or roughly $2. The cookie pack will cost ¥810 or $7, and the tote bag will cost ¥1,980 or $17. The stacking mugs will cost ¥880 individually or $8, with the acrylic keychains also costing ¥880, or $8, individually as well.
In July 2021, Animal Crossing: New Horizons apparel will be available to purchase at UNIQLO locations. This includes a wide range of t-shirts and accessories all featuring iconography from Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is immediately available for the Nintendo Switch.
