Nexon has opened up a new teaser website for a new unannounced video game, which includes a countdown timer that will end on July 10, 2021, at 8 PM Japan Time. At the end of the timer, Nexon will reveal further information about the title. The untitled game is planned to release in Winter 2021, with no further platform or regional details available currently. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]
Interestingly, the website includes the phrase “to the Reverse side of the world” with the “R” flipped, along with various numbers and what looks to be a distorted cityscape in the background. There is currently no indication on whether the game will be an entirely original new IP, or if it will be part of an existing franchise. Previously, Nexon has also worked with other game studios to release games outside of Japan, such as the upcoming KonoSuba: Fantastic Days mobile game.
Additionally, both the Yamanote train line in Tokyo as well as the three major advertising screens in Akihabara will periodically play a countdown teaser trailer. Fans can expect the trailers to show up on the E235 Yamanote train from July 5, 2021, to July 11, 2021. Alternatively, the Akihabara teaser trailer will play from July 5, 2021, to July 10, 2021.
Nexon will announce further information about its new game via the teaser website on July 10, 2021. The new unannounced video game from Nexon will release Winter 2021. There is currently no confirmed platform, release date, or region.
