According to an interview between Takuya Kimura and Toshihiro Nagoshi about the upcoming Lost Judgment game, players will no longer be able to play pinball in Yagami’s office. Instead, a Sega Master System sits where the pinball machine once stood. Retro games such as Doki Doki Penguin Land are available to play in-game, and players can unlock more as they continue with the story.

This is not the first time that the Yakuza and Judgment series have included retro games from Sega’s past. For example, in the first Judgment game, players could go to various Club Sega arcades to pass the time with classics such as Puyo Puyo and Fantasy Zone.
The interview also included interesting tidbits about Kimura’s thoughts on the first game, as well as how the second game will play. For example, Kimura said that he had quite a few actresses go up to him and whisper to him that they finished Judgment. In Kimura’s opinion, they could have just told him so in a normal voice.
In addition, Nagoshi commented that there is a lot of content in the game where players can see a new humorous side of Yagami due to the game’s high school setting. Kimura added that Yagami does so many odd things that he wondered if the staff thought of them after drinking one night.
Lost Judgment will release worldwide for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox One on September 24, 2021.
