Now that the Scarlet Nexus debut is nearly upon us, Bandai Namco released the Japanese launch trailer for the game. As people might expect, it’s a mix of gameplay footage and cinematic videos all set to the official theme song. So if people haven’t heard The Oral Cigarettes’ “Dream in Drive” yet, they will now.
The video alludes to things we’ll see in the game. For example, we see Kasane Randall and Yuito Sumeragi and their Other Suppression Force team members. We see the Others themselves, which people will face. There are also plenty of “red strings,” which are used in-game to connect to teammates and tap into their special powers to combine them with Kasane or Yuito’s own abilities.
Here’s the full Scarlet Nexus launch trailer from Japan.
While this does seem like it could be the opening movie, it actually isn’t. Back in May 2021, Bandai Namco revealed the animated footage that will appear when someone kicks off their Scarlet Nexus adventure.
Scarlet Nexus will appear on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC on June 25, 2021. A demo is available on consoles. There’s no Xbox Game Pass release planned for it as of yet. Also, the Scarlet Nexus anime adaptation will begin airing in Japan starting on July 1, 2021.
