Metroid Dread appeared at the E3 2021 Nintendo Direct. It is an entirely new 2D Metroid game. It and its amiibo will appear in October 8, 2021.

Metroid Dread and its amiibo will launch on October 8, 2021 on the Nintendo Switch.
