The Babylon’s Fall closed beta sign-ups are open and, as a result, we know more about how they will work. People head to the official site to opt in and participate before July 5, 2021. The tests will be available in English and Japanese and take part in three phases. The first phase will kick off on PCs via Steam in late July 2021. Saved characters and data will not carry over to the full game.
First, each phase of the Babylon’s Fall closed beta will be testing different elements. Participating will also mean visiting an official forum to leave thoughts and talk about the experience.
Here is the tentative closed beta schedule, which goes over the three phases and platforms available.

We don’t know when exactly Babylon’s Fall will make its debut. The E3 2021 announcements during the Square Enix Presents showcase mainly focused on the new trailer and PS5 version announcement.
Babylon’s Fall is in development for the PS4, PS5, and PC. The first Babylon’s Fall closed beta will take place in late July 2021 for PC owners via Steam. People have until July 5, 2021 to register to participate.
