Tales of Arise will feature a handful of characters for players to add to their party. In a recent trailer, two new party members were revealed for the upcoming RPG. These two new characters will offer their own unique skillsets to the party and have backstories that weave into the overarching narrative. The backstory for Kisara and Dohalim, the two new characters in Tales of Arise, has been revealed.
As mentioned previously, each of these characters was shown off in a recent trailer. This included a look at how they will function in combat, and a short story segment. However, the official Tales of Arise Japanese Twitter account has shared their backstories. While the synopsis for each individual character is fairly short, it does provide insight to their relevance to the story.
Kisara (CV: Ikezawa Haruna) is a Dahna who believes in the co-existence between the Dahna and Rena people. She is incredibly strong, boasting the greatest physical ability among a regiment of strictly Dahna soldiers employed by Dohalim. She also uses weapons and armor made by the Rena.
Dohalim (CV: Kase Yasuyuki) on the other hand is an eccentric Rena who is friendly towards the Dahna. He is a noble among the Rena people. Additionally, he has a wealth of knowledge about the arts. This includes poetry, and he has something of an antique collection.
Dohalim and Kisara join the cast of Tales of Arise alongside the already revealed Alphen, Shionne, Rinwell, and Law. Previously, Bandai Namco released footage of these character’s Mystic Artes attacks.
Tales of Arise will release for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC on September 9, 2021 in Japan. The Western release will arrive on September 10, 2021.
