Sonic Colors Ultimate Will Appear in September 2021

Sonic Colors is coming back, and it will appear on more platforms than before. Sonic Colors Ultimate will show up on September 7, 2021. It will be available for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Epic Games Store. This version will have additional content and pre-order bonuses inspired by the Sonic the Hedgehog movie. The pre-order bonuses will also include things like early access to the game. There will also be a Sonic Colors: Rise of the Wisp animated series.

Sonic Colors Ultimate will essentially be a way to play through the game again. Elements from the Sonic movie will be added, though details weren’t specified. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will include 4K and refined control schemes.

The pre-order incentive and digital deluxe edition contents did come up during the stream. Those who pre-order a physical copy will get a keychain of Baby Sonic from the Sonic movie. The Digital Deluxe Edition will include early access to the game, a “Sonic movie boost,” player icons inspired by the live action movie, extra music, and items described as “gold & silver wearables.”

As for Sonic Colors: Rise of the Wisps, that animated series will stream online in Summer 2021. Roger Craig Smith will reprise his role as Sonic for it.

Sonic Colors Ultimate will come to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Epic Games Store on September 7, 2021. The original Sonic Colors games appeared on the Nintendo DS and Wii.
