One of the six titles announced during the Dragon Quest 35th Anniversary Broadcast starred some familiar faces. Dragon Quest XI’s Erik and his sister Mia will be the stars of Dragon Quest Treasures. The game will feature both of them as children. It will also be released simultaneously worldwide. However, there is no release window for it yet.
In Dragon Quest Treasures’ initial trailer, both the younger versions of Erik and Mia are shown working alongside monsters. The goal will be to search for treasure, as the title suggests. Part of the clip showed Erik and Mia approaching and opening treasure chests. Unlike most entries in the series, it won’t be a “traditional RPG.”
Here’s the first trailer for the new game. You can see Erik and Mia holding their special daggers in Dragon Quest Treasures and using monsters for their special abilities.
Erik was one of the more prominent party members in Dragon Quest XI. He was the first person who joined the Luminary on the journey.
