Rideon’s Mercenaries is headed to a new platform. Mercenaries Blaze: Dawn of the Twin Dragons will appear on PCs via Steam. The product page is already online and offers a June 10, 2021 release date.
Mercenaries Blaze is the fifth entry in the Mercenaries Saga series. It showed up on the Nintendo Switch worldwide at the end of 2020 and on the PS4 in Japan in January 2021. Like past installments, it is a turn-based strategy game along the lines of Final Fantasy Tactics. Each entry follows a group of mercenaries dealing with new challenges. This particular installment is known for Blaze Exceed abilities and maps that are in 3D.
The Mercenaries Blaze Steam page went over a few things people can expect from this port. It will have English, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese language options. Steam Achievements can be earned too. You’ll also be able to save your data to Steam Cloud or use a controller to play it.
Here’s the trailer offering a better look at it running on a PC. It goes over a bit of the story, specifically the conflict between Euros and Westarii. It goes over how the mercenary group this time gets involved initially after being hired to capture immigrant refugees. Lester and his group might follow a different path, however.
