Square Enix went on a promotional tear ahead of the Japanese release of NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139. In the same stream that revealed the planned DLC and Extra content for the game itself, the team also announced more new merchandise for both Replicant and NieR Automata than you can shake a fully-armed Pod at. Of particular note was a new line of figures and statues in the Bring Arts and Nendoroid lines.
Square Enix will add a young Nier NieR Replicant Bring Arts figure to the officially licensed line of poseable action figures. The figure of young Nier, based on his early-game appearance, will include a sword, Grimoire Weiss, and several accessories. Being part of the Bring Arts line, it’ll likely stand about six to eight inches tall and be somewhat less detailed than Square Enix’s bigger, more expensive Play Arts Kai line. Pre-orders open for it will open on April 22, 201 in Japan, with a planned November 2021 release window. It will cost JPY 8,580 (about USD $80). Other NieR Replicant and Automata Bring Arts figures also exist, based on 2B, A2, Adam and Eve, Devola and Popola, and the late-game look for young Nier. Even 2P, the color-swapped version of 2B from Soul Calibur and the Final Fantasy XIV YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse storyline, is represented.
Those looking for something more static and detailed than an action figure can anticipate a pair of statue figures from sculptor Mitsumasa Yoshizawa. The statues are in-development and will be based on Kaine and A2.
Kaine and A2 will also be joined by Emil in Good Smile Company’s Nendoroid series of super-deformed figures. None of them had a definite release date, but given the typical timing of Good Smile Company releases, it seems likely that the Nendoroids might release sometime in 2022. Less patient NieR fans can try to acquire existing Nendoroids like 2B, 9S, and Young Nier.
NieRÂ Replicant ver.1.22474487139Â will release on April 23, 2021 worldwide for the PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
