Resident Evil Dead by Daylight Chapter Announced

Dead by Daylight will get a Resident Evil chapter in June 2021. During the April 14, 2021 showcase, a brief teaser for the upcoming content came up. Behaviour Interactive Game Director Mathieu Cote noted that it will be officially revealed on May 25, 2021 at the Dead by Daylight fifth anniversary broadcast.

Details about what this event will involve weren’t mentioned. Leading into its segment, we saw an Umbrella charm fall from a male Survivor who had been caught by a Killer. As it faded to black, the reveal noted that people who pick up the Dead by Daylight Resident Evil chapter will get the Umbrella Charm.

This will be the second major horror game to appear in Dead by Daylight with its own chapter. In 2020, a Silent Hill chapter appeared for the game. It added Cheryl as a Survivor, Pyramid Head as a killer, and a map inspired by Midwich Elementary School.

Dead by Daylight is available on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, Google Stadia, and mobile devices. The full Resident Evil Dead by Daylight reveal will come on May 25, 2021, ahead of its June 2021 launch.
