Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness Will Debut on Netflix in July 2021

Capcom revealed that Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness will come to Netflix in July 2021, though it withheld the exact release date. The news came up as part of the Resident Evil April 2021 Showcase. The Netflix original series will star Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield teaming up again two years after the events of Resident Evil 4. Capcom also confirmed the President in the series will be the father of Resident Evil 4‘s Ashley Graham.

In March 2021, Netflix shared new stills from the upcoming CG animated show. The shots give fans a clear look at Claire and Leon’s models in the series. New details on the show’s story confirmed that the narrative will take place in 2006, set against the backdrop of a hacking incident at the United States White House. Leon and Claire will meet serendipitously as they try to uncover the mystery behind two viral outbreaks.

Capcom has been beefing up its Resident Evil activities in recent history. A live-action film titled Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City will reportedly release in November 2021. The new film is in addition to the upcoming mainline game Resident Evil Village and the online multiplayer title Resident Evil Re:Verse.

Netflix will begin streaming Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness in July 2021.
