New The Caligula Effect 2 Trailer Introduces Regret, Redo, and the Go-Home Club

NIS America will bring The Caligula Effect 2, the next entry in the FuRyu JRPG series, to the west later this year. To prepare, there’s a new video to help people catch up with what’s going on. This latest The Caligula Effect 2 trailer goes over major characters like Redo, χ, and the protagonist, then explains what’s going on in the virtual world of Redo.

Like the original The Caligula Effect, everyone is in a simulation. Regret, who is a virtuadoll AI program, created Redo to give people a second chance. But while some people embrace the opportunity or even defend Regret’s actions as the Obbligato Musicians, the player and the Go-Home Club form a group of people fighting the system. Their goal is to defeat the Obbligato and Regret, then return to their real lives.

Meanwhile, the latest Japanese trailers for The Caligula Effect 2 focused on the Obbligato Musicians supporting Regret. Past videos look at Kudan, MU-kun, #QP, Pandora, and Machina.

The Caligula Effect 2 will come to the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in Japan on June 24, 2021 and in North America and Europe in Fall 2021. Its English website is now open.
