The Japanese musician Hyde will have a mobile game themed after himself. Phoenixx is releasing a new game titled Hyde Run for mobile devices within 2021. This game will mark the 20th anniversary of Hyde’s solo career debut. [Thanks, Game Watch!]
Not much information about Hyde Run has been revealed as of this writing other than the statement that Hyde himself is fully supervising the game’s production. It is currently being developed by Grounding, which also worked on Space Channel 5 VR and World’s End Club. More details on the game, including its definitive genre, will be announced at a later date.
The staff member behind Hyde’s official Twitter account also made an announcement tweet for the new mobile game:

Born in 1969 with the name Hideto Takarai, Hyde began rising to prominence after joining the rock band L’arc~en~Ciel as its vocalist in 1991. His solo career began when he released his first single, “evergreen,” in 2001. He also worked with the guitarist K.A.Z to establish the hard rock duo unit Vamps in 2007. A couple of Hyde’s own songs, “Defeat” and “Mad Qualia,” were also used to promote Capcom’s Devil May Cry 5.
The mobile game Hyde Run will be available on Android and iOS devices in 2021.
