Amakuni will release 1/7 scale figures of Yuma Tsukumo, Kotori Mizuki, and Astral from Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal in 2022. The exact release date and price are currently unknown. Though merchandise for Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal characters and monsters exist, they are mostly keychains or small collectible figures. These are the show’s first scale figures.
Each figure has its own charm and detail points. Special care was put into sculpting Yuma’s hair and fingers. Since it is a series about card games, Yu-Gi-Oh has always emphasized the animation of the characters drawing and twirling their cards. Yuma’s face features his D-Gazer and his characteristically confident “kattobingu” expression. Aditionally, Yuma will come with a small Rainbow Kuriboh.
The Astral figure has his duel disk equipped, which is a fairly rare sight, considering Astral does not duel very much himself in Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal. Even unpainted, you can see the faint lines on his face and body that are his mysterious markings.
Last but not least, Kotori strikes a cheery pose, with her skirt billowing out thanks to the careful sculpting. Her pose is similar to the one she makes when she is cheering Yuma on during his duels. Like Yuma, she has her D-Gazer equipped, and she has an adorable smile on her face.
Other figures by Amakuni include the Persona 5 Royal Haru Okumura figure, as well as the Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight Makoto figure.
The Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal 1/7 scale figures from Amakuni are slated for release in 2022, and the exact price for the three are unknown. So far, only Yuma, Astral, and Kotori are getting scale figures.
