The teaser for My Hero Academia Season 5 focuses heavily on the Joint Training Arc, in which students from Class 1-A and 1-B compete against each other. Additionally, this arc will mark the comeback of Hitoshi Shinso, who needs to prove his worth if he wants to join the Hero Course at U.A. High School. That the fifth season will cover the Joint Training Arc was revealed in 2020 with a key illustration featuring the members of Classes 1-A and 1-B.
Last season, My Hero Academia covered the tumultuous events of the Shie Hakkaisai arc and ended with the Pro Hero arc. It had many memorable scenes, such as Endeavor and Hawks teaming up to fight against the High-End Nomu Hood at the end of the season. Another moment was Kyoka Jiro’s “Hero Too” during the school festival. The MV for the song, which features Chrissy Costanza, has accumulated 60 million views on the official TOHO YouTube channel.
My Hero Academia Season 5 will air on March 27, 2021 in Japan. The show is currently available to watch on Crunchyroll, Netflix, and Funimation.
