We now have a better idea of when the El Shaddai PC version will appear on Steam. While Crim doesn’t have an exact April 2021 release date, it did confirm people will be able to pick up copies sometime in the middle of next month. A product page still isn’t available yet for the port.
El Shaddai is an action game that originally appeared on the PS3 and Xbox 360 10 years ago in 2001. It is based on The Book of Enoch. Players attempt to help Enoch stop fallen angels and their Nephilim to save the world, with the help of angels like Lucifel. The game inspired both additional mangas and a spin-off RPG dungeon-crawler called The Lost Child.
While extensive details about the rerelease aren’t available, we do know about at least one feature. Back when the project was first announced, dual audio support was mentioned. Sawaki Takeyasu, the game’s creator who also worked on titles like Devil May Cry and Okami, said the goal was to offer English and Japanese options.
El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron will appear on PCs worldwide, via Steam, in the middle of April 2021. It is also available on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
