The Devil is a Part-Timer is an anime based on Satoshi Wagahara’s Light Novel, Hataraku Maō-sama! Its story centers on a demon protagonist named Dark Lord Satan who finds himself in modern-day Japan after losing a battle against Hero Emilia Justina. To survive, he takes up a job working at a fast food restaurant.

White Fox Studio created the first season of the anime, which aired in 2013. The announcement didn’t offer any information as to whether or not the studio would also be working on the second season. It was confirmed that voice actors from the original Japanese cast would reprise their roles for the new season. The cast includes Ryota Osaka, Yoko Hikasa, and Yuuki Ono playing the respective roles of Satan, Emi, and Shiro. Ryota Osaka also played the role of Mikleo in Tales of Zestiria and sings in the Tales-based musical group, Tales of Dreamers.

The announcement didn’t reveal the release date for the second season of The Devil is a Part-Timer. The first season is currently available for streaming on Funimation.
