A Twisted Metal live-action TV show is in the works. A number of the people behind it were already revealed. Will Arnett and the Deadpool writers and executive producers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick will be the executive producers on the series. [Thanks, Variety!]
As people might guess, the Twisted Metal TV show will be inspired by the PlayStation game of the same name. People will watch as a two people, one of whom is known for stealing cars, try to deliver a package. The catch is, it’s set after the apocalypse and Twisted Metal drivers like Sweet Tooth will be there attempting to keep that from happening.
Here’s a list of everyone currently involved in the Twisted Metal TV show’s development, as well as some of the other projects they’re known for.
- Asad Qizilbash, Executive Producer. Also working as an executive producer on the Uncharted movie and The Last of Us TV show.
- Carter Swan, Executive Producer. Also working on The Last of Us TV show.
- Hermen Hulst, Executive Producer. Also was a managing director on Horizon Zero Dawn and Killzone.
- Marc Forman, Executive Producer. Also was an executive producer on Hot Date and The Gong Show.
- Michael Jonathan Smith, Writer and Executive Producer. Also was a writer and producer on Cobra Kai and Diary of a Future President.
- Paul Wernick, Writer. Also was the writer and executive producer on Deadpool, Deadpool 2, Zombieland, and Zombieland: Double Tap.
- Peter Principato, Executive Producer. Also was an executive producer on Awkwafina is Nora from Queens, Hot Date, and The Gong Show.
- Rhett Reese, Writer. Also was the writer and executive producer on Deadpool, Deadpool 2, Zombieland, and Zombieland: Double Tap.
- Will Arnett, Executive Producer. Also was executive producer on BoJack Horseman and recently appeared in BoJack Horseman and The Lego Movie 2.
The Twisted Metal TV show is in development and does not yet have an air date.
