Think About Your Xiao Build With a New Genshin Impact Trailer

When new characters join the Genshin Impact roster, they get a Collected Miscellany video. Think of it as a way for “Dainsleif” to get you thinking about what they can do. Xiao has one now, and it shows off his moveset so you can start thinking about builds.

This video clarifies just how fast, powerful, and high-risk Xiao can be. The character doesn’t take plunge damage, since so many of his attacks involve using increased jumping ability to dive down to attack enemies. He also has a Gravity Defier passive that allows the whole party to climb for longer periods of time. As for his skills, Lemniscatic Wind Cycling has two charges and lets you dart twice into enemies, either on the ground or in the air. This can be used to attack or essentially fly over brief gaps. Bane of All Evil, his Elemental Burst, has him put his mask on. All of his attack damage goes up, he deals Anemo damage to all enemies, and he can jump higher than usual, but also his health constantly drains. You have to switch to another character to return Xiao to normal.

As for a Xiao build, his Bane of All Evil constantly drains his health and he has pretty high attack. Maybe think about Artifacts that increase his HP and boost his damage output. The Viridescent Venerer set increases Anemo and Swirl damage. If you want something slightly easier to find, Gladiator’s Finale will increase his attack and normal attack damage. Though if you want to go economical, Berserker could boost his critical rate and drive it even higher when his health is below 70%.

Here’s the Genshin Impact Collected Miscellany: Xiao: Conqueror of Demons trailer.

Genshin Impact is available for the PlayStation 4, PC, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in the works. The Xiao banner is available until February 17, 2021.
